Mel Marcantonio

Mel Marcantonio is an artist working out of Daytona Beach Shores specializing in alcohol inks. She creates with a brushless technique on 100% recycled paper. A love of color and textures, inspires dreamy landscapes and whimsical abstracts.

A few drops of ink tilted at just the right angle, can transform into grains of sand under a searing desert sky or a thought-provoking lunar landscape. No two pieces are the same and leave several elements open to the viewers imagination.

Mel has exhibited from Seattle to Pittsburgh with her creations finding homes all across the map. Her work has been featured in publications such as Raison D’Etre.

A mother to two daughters, it is her hope to continue to explore art through travel and share her experiences with family and new found friends.
